Chapter 116

Vincent stared at the divorce agreement, overwhelmed by the discovery that his name had already been signed. His brows lowered into a frown as he glared at Hannah. "At what moment did you compose this?"

Hannah responded with icy indifference, "Roughly four weeks ago."

"An entire month." Vincent released a bitter chuckle, sharp with contempt and fury. "You've been orchestrating to divorce from me for a whole month."

"That's right. I've been prepared to walk away for quite some time," Hannah replied bluntly, her gaze emotionless and sharp.

Vincent clenched his jaw, veins bulging at his temple.′′|SFelix the root of this?"

Hannah didn't respond immediately.

For thirty seconds, a tense stillness blanketed the room.

Hannah lowered her head slightly, appearing lost in memories of their shared past. "I don't love you anymore. There's nothing left to feel," she finally stated, her voice flat and drained.

Vincent's breathing grew uneven, a rough growl escaping his throat. "You were the one who pursued me, begged to marry me,and now you're throwing it all away. Why is it always your way?"

A flicker of disdain crossed Hannah's expression. "So what if i pursued you? Through all these eight years, I gave you everything-yet how did you ever repay me? And now you're everything-yet how did you ever repay me? And now you're acting like some wounded soul, playing the victim? As if I wronged you? Don't be ridiculous."

Pausing, Hannah said with finality, her stare like frost,"I love fiercely and leave neatly. If I care, I go all in. If I'm finished,I walk away without looking back. Let's just end this. A clean break-for the benefit of us both."

A faint twitch disturbed Vincent's features, a chilling aura emanating from him. "You think I won't divorce you?"

"Of course not. I'm waiting for you to finalize the divorce certificate with me," Hannah answered coolly.

Her detached attitude completely pushed Vincent over the edge. His fury erupted like flames. "Fine, let's split! I refuse to be with a woman who's been unfaithful."

Though nis voice cut like steel, Hannah showed no reaction, her gaze cold and unwavering.

The guests gasped, stunned that Hannah, who had just been publicly acknowledged as Vincent's spouse, was already seeking a divorce.

Brinley and Danica shared a glance, clearly thrilled.

Vincent didn't shift his focus from Hannah. "Every time you've brought up a divorce over the last month, I've talked you out of it. But not this time. If you're this resolute, I won't stop you."

He searched her expression for the slightest remorse-there was none.

Hannah's stare was composed, her lips lifting into a faint smirk."In that case, much appreciated."

She added without pause, "Make sure you show up when it's time for the procedure." Checking her watch, Hannah turned toward Brinley with a composed grin. "Miss Gilbert, let's resolve what's between us."

Brinley froze in shock, instinctively backing away.

Suddenly, sirens wailed from the venue's entrance.

a

"Y-you contacted the police?" Brinley stammered, sweat forming rapidly as panic set in.

"Of course. Did you think I was bluffing?" Hannah's voice was firm, her eyes glinting with derision. "| told you-you wouldn't walk away untouched."

Danica's nerves flared, shouting, "Hannah! This is too much! Why involve the police today, of all days? Are you trying to ruin Sharon's celebration?"

Hannah's eyes were cold, her voice like a blade. "Don't bring Sharon into this. If Brinley hadn't crossed the line, I might've stayed quiet for Sharon for the time being. But Brinley hired men to assault me and even made a fake video to destroy my name. I'm not letting that go."

Before attending Sharon's gathering, Hannah had already instructed Rena to contact the authorities. Rena was dependable, and the police arrived quickly.

"Vincent! Please help! I don't want the police to arrest me,"Brinley begged, rushing toward him, hoping he'd shield her again like before.
