Chapter 124
After reserving Private Room 09 at Obsidian Club, Hannah and Felix immediately called their teammates over.
Issac never expected to spot Hannah at this place. Lately, her name had been buzzing through their social circles-no longer just Vincent's rumored mistress, but allegedly his legal wife.
The story had grown so wild that people began stalking Jones Group's official channels, waiting for any hint of confirmation. Jones Group, of course, made no statement to respond to the rumors.
As far as Issac was concerned, that silence spoke volumes-the whole"Mrs. Jones" rumor was nothing but a joke.
Then, Issac's gaze drifted to the man beside Hannah, and realization dawned-they were still together. Now,that made the whole situation more interesting.
Within thirty minutes, Nova Tech's staff started pouring in. Soon, Felix and Hannah were leading a crowd of more than twenty employees through the club, ushering them toward the reserved private room.
Issac made his move at just the right moment. Pouring himself a generous glass of whiskey, he sauntered straight into the group's path as if the world belonged to him. He fixed his gaze on a timid woman with downcast eyes, then let his steps falter and"accidentally" doused himself in liquor, splattering the expensive suit.
"This suit cost me one million," he declared, catching the woman's wrist before she could retreat."How do you plan on making that up to me,sweetheart?"
The unlucky target-Sophie Hart from the UI team-froze, her face draining of color. She barely got the words out. "I... I didn't bump into you. You did it on purpose. It's not my fault."
Issac's grip grew firmer as he pressed on. "So you're telling me my drink just flew out of my hand all by itself? Don't kid yourself. Be an adult. Admit what you did."
Meanwhile,Felix and Hannah noticed the commotion and wasted no time approaching.
Hannah stepped between them, shielding Sophie. "What do you think you're doing?"
Issac flashed a mocking grin. "Well, well, if it isn't Vincent Jones's so-called wife. Been a while, Hannah."
At his words, heads turned, curiosity glinting in their eyes.
Felix quietly gathered the rest of the team and steered them into Room 09.
Unfazed by the sudden attention, Hannah met Issac's gaze with a frosty smile. "Shouldn't you be at the hospital? By now, your baby brother's probably arrived. Or did you come here to drown your sorrows?"
Issac gave a sharp, dismissive laugh. "You've got time to fuss over my family? Maybe start worrying about your own people first."
Issac flopped into a booth, legs crossed, and gestured at the mess on his suit. "See this? That girl behind you just soaked me. Since you're so eager to defend her, tell me-how are you planning to fix this?"
"I didn't do it!" Sophie blurted, voice trembling. "He bumped into me on purpose-he did it himself!"
Hannah didn't hesitate as she responded, "We believe you, Sophie."
Felix stepped up beside Hannah, his tone icy but measured. "Name your price. We'll cover whatever you claim the suit's worth."
Issac lounged back with a crooked, arrogant smile. "I'm not desperate for cash."
Hannah's patience was already thinning. She crossed her arms, her voice edged with ice. "Then stop playing games. Just spit it out. WNhat do you want?"
Issac's grin widened, lazy and predatory. He jabbed a finger toward her. "You. Spend the night with me."
Issac still hadn't forgotten the humiliation she'd served him last time-tonight, he intended to even the score.
Felix cut in before Hannah could answer, his expression stormy, "Not a chance in hell."
Issac smirked, tossing out a careless shrug. "Then how about the timid little mouse hiding behind you? She can keep me company instead." His finger jabbed straight at Sophie, who went pale, her whole body trembling.
The implication was clear as a slap. Hannah's eyes flashed dangerously.
A heavy silence stretched between them. Finally, Hannah exhaled, her jaw tight. "Fine. I'Il go with you."
Felix's face drained of color as he shook his head in protest, but Hannah only leaned close and murmured something low in his ear.
