Chapter 189

A frosty glint flashed in Vincent's eyes as he took in the chaos before him.

"We're getting out of here," Vincent murmured, locking an arm protectively around Hannah and steering her toward the door.

Meanwhile, the man sprang up, snatching the stick off the floor and swinging it at Hannah's head. Vincent reacted instantly, twisting to shield her. The stick crashed down on his shoulder.

Pain ripped through Vincent, but he barely flinched. Whirling around, he drove his boot into the man's chest, sending the latter sprawling. For a moment, Vincent's expression was all shadows and murder, cold, unyielding.

Hannah stared at Vincent, stunned-she had never seen him so utterly furious.

Just then, Vincent's security team burst onto the scene.

Vincent didn't spare the man another glance. "He's all yours," he said in a voice like ice, keeping his arm tightly around Hannah as he led her out.

The second they made it ouutside, Hannah's legs buckled. She collapsed, and Vincent caught her before she hit the ground.

Fury simmered in Vincent's voice. "Did that bastard drug you?"

Hannah tried to respond, but the strength left her body, and everything went black.

Vincent swept her into his arms and headed hastily for the hospital.

From a dark corner, a hidden camera lens snapped a photo of Vincent carrying Hannah away.

Inside Dorbarrow Hospital, the doctor's reassurance that Hannah was neither injured nor drugged has finally allowed Vinċent to exhale, relief washing over him.

Then, his phone rang-it was one of his bodyguards."Mr. Jones, we have a name. Darren Wolfe, CEO of Aetherion Corp. He claims he saw Ms. Scott at a bidding event and became obsessed. The eleventh floor is owned by his uncle."

"Where is he now?" Vincent's voice was low and raw, his eyes rimmed red.

"We still have him," the bodyguard replied with a firm, respectful voice.

"I'll be there soon." After ending the call, Vincent called Rena, asking her to stay with Hannah before he left quietly.

Meanwhile, in the Jones Group's private parking garage, Darren was bound tightly to a concrete pillar.

Upon arrival, the self-control Vincent had managed to hold onto snapped. He unleashed a barrage of punches, not giving Darren a moment to plead for mercy.

It didn't take long for Darren's face to become an unrecognizable mess, blood streaming down as he struggled to stay upright.

Finally, a bodyguard stepped in. "Mr. Jones, if you keep going, he won't survive."

Vincent paused, breath ragged. He wiped the blood from his knuckles with a handkerchief and let it drop to the ground without a second glance..

"Should we hand him over to the authorities?" the bodyguard asked.

A cold, derisive chuckle escaped Vincent. "Let him off that easy? Not a chance."

Vincent strode toward his car, voice flat. "Ship him to the casinos."

The moment Darren was thrown into that world, debts would begin stacking higher and higher, shutting the door on any chance of reclaiming his former life.

Vincent rested one hand on the car window, eyes glinting."Oh, and while you're at it-destroy his company and his uncle's too... time for them to go bankrupt."

"Understood," the bodyguard replied with unwavering respect. Vincentdrove away, never looking back.

Hannah spent a full day and night lost to sleep. When she finally woke up, the first thing she saw was Rena seated patiently at her side.

"Rena... Why are you here?" Hannah's voice was still weak, her complexion drained of color.

Rena's eyes were rimmed with red as she leaned forward and hugged Hannah tightly. "Hannah,I heard everything.Thank God you're okay."

Hannah managed a small, reassuring smile and gently patted Rena's shoulder.

"Felix has also been waiting for you to come to, but work called him away for something urgent,"Rena continued.

Rena chattered on for a bit, her words tumbling out in a rush before adding,"And Vincent-he really gave that bastard a brutal lesson."

Hannah's expression grew serious. "Who was that man?"

"I dug into it. He's the CEO of Aetherion Corp. CEO, my ass. The kind of scum who does this doesn't deserve the title."

The name triggered something in Hannah's memory. During the VitraMind bidding event, when her company had wonthe bid, the CEO of Aetherion Corp had come up to congratulate them. No wonder his voice had struck a chord of recognition.

Rena was still steaming. "You wouldn't believe it-Vincent didn't just beat that bastard up. He crushed that bastard and forced it into liquidation. And as if that wasn't enough, he had that bastard dumped in a casino.Just one day in and he's already up to his neck in loan shark debts. Honestly, prison would've been a mercy."

She gave an exaggerated eye roll. "I never thought much of Vincent before, but I'll give credit where it's due. This time, he really delivered."
