Chapter 607
Vincent came to a sudden halt, his eyes blazing like steel."Explain.Now!"
Hannah, close behind, stiffened at Derek's words, her expression shadowed.
Derek spoke in a rush, each word landing with weight. "Mr.Jones, soon after you left the company to search for Ms. Scott at sea, Erica appeared with a man who could have been your reflection in a mirror. She declared that man was you, persuaded several board members and executives, and even had the impostor step in as CEO. They nearly managed to topple your position as chairman!"
Vincent's brow furrowed deeply, his gaze turning frost-cold.
Hannah stepped forward quickly; her voice calm but edged with conviction. "If I'm right, that impostor is Logan Grant. Erica has kept him around in the shadows for years. Her obsession with you has twisted into something dangerous. Since she couldn't claim you,she found someone with a passing resemblance and then forced him through multiple plastic surgeries until he became your double. That way, she could live out her fantasies and her hunger for control."
These were findings uncovered by Vincent's men before.
Vincent absorbed the information, his gaze revealing utter disgust.
Derek, his nerves tightening, pressed on. "Fortunately, you returned home when you did! This very afternoon, Erica and Logan are calling an emergency shareholder meeting. They're pushing a stock transfer through irregular channels, shifting the
pushing a stock transfer through irregular channels, shifting the stolen shares into Erica's name. Worse, they intend to sell some of the company's core projects to a foreign shell. If they succeed, the fallout will be catastrophic. Mr. Jones, you must take charge of the situation immediately!"
Hannah's voice cut in, solemn and clear. "There's one more thing-Erica had cosmetic surgery to look like me. Brace yourself when you see her."
Shock and revulsion flickered across Vincent's face. He steadied himself, forcing down the wave of nausea, and gave Hannah a sharp nod. His command to his men struck like thunder. "Back to Jones Group. At once!"
The air grew taut with his authority. Nate and the bodyguards moved without hesitation, shadows at his heels.
Derek hurried after them, but Hannah's hand caught his sleeve, halting him gently. Her tone dropped, firm and urgent. "Derek, you need to know-Vincent suffered an accident in Agosphia. His head injury cost him the last eight years of memory. At the meeting, he may not recognize recent projects or faces. You must stay close, remind him when needed, and cover for him so the meeting flows without a hitch."
Derek froze, eyes wide as disbelief struck him like lightning."Memory loss? Is it serious? Will Mr. Jones..."
His words faltered-he couldn't fathom how a CEO stripped of vital years of memories could handle the upcoming shareholder meeting.
Hannah met his gaze with unwavering resolve. "He's only lost part of his memory, not his intelligence or business acumen. He is still Vincent. You just need to feed him the missing details at the right time. Trust him with the rest."
Derek drew in a long breath, forcing the storm in his chest to still. At last, he nodded hard. "Understood, Ms. Scott. I'll stand

He knew now wasn't the time to ask for details. But as he turned to catch up with Vincent, a thought nagged. He paused, asking, "Ms. Scott, you're not coming with us?"
Hannah's eyes sharpened, cold and decisive. "I won't be coming with you guys."
She had other business to take care of. Her reckoning with Erica had lingered too long-this time, the ledger would be closed.
She turned and strode away, her steps brisk and resolute.
The group soon arrived at Jones Group headquarters.
On the top floor, the conference roomn doors stood shut, the shareholder meeting already in progress.
With one swift kick, Vincent sent the doors slamming open, the sound crashing through the chamber.
All heads snapped toward the entrance.
At the head of the table sat Logan, so eerily like Vincent that the resemblance alone made the room shudder. His body trembled despite his effort to hold steady.
At the podium stood Erica. At the sudden noise, she spun around, panic flashing raw in her eyes when she saw Vincent framed in the doorway. She hadn't éxpected him to return alive, let alone so quickly.
Months ago, after Vincent left the place where Erica had been imprisoned, Logan had rescued her.
Once free and learned Vincent had abandoned everything to search for Hannah at sea, Erica had pounced on the

search for Hannah at sea, Erica had pounced on the opportunity. Carefully, she'd appeared at the Jones Group with Logan, now carved into Vincent's likeness by plastic surgeries.Exploiting the gap in information and leaning on the backing of several executives, she'd seized temporary control. For more than two months, no one had suspected a thing.
Now,though her heart skipped, Erica forced calm to her veins. This was Jones Group, now her domain. She had no reason to panic.
With practiced swiftness, Erica turned the tables, voice shrill with scorn as she pointed at Vincent. "Who are you? This is the highest-level shareholder meeting of Jones Group. No outsiders could just waltz in. Security! What are you waiting for?Throw him out!"
