Chapter 133
The doors of The Grand Hyatt burst open.
Sebastian Royston and Sophia Lowell stumbled out as if demons were at their heels.
"Mr. Royston, are you alright?" Sophia frantically steadied the swaying man.
Her gaze landed on his swollen cheeks. The two vivid handprints made her gasp.
"Who the hell was that madwoman?" Sebastian spat through clenched teeth.
Sophia quickly replied, "That was Evelyn Laurent. Just some vulgar country bumpkin with no manners."
Flames of fury ignited in Sebastian's eyes.
A nobody from the countryside dared to lay hands on him?
What infuriated him more was Ethan Sullivan shielding that little savage!
He'd arrived too early today—not only missing the Lowells and their seventh daughter, but getting publicly slapped twice.
"Evelyn Laurent..."
He ground out the name like he wanted to chew it to pieces.
His eyes suddenly caught on the necklace at Sophia's throat.
Ethan couldn't have missed it. Why had he been so indifferent?
Yet he'd been unusually attentive to that Evelyn girl.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes.
He needed to contact the Lowells immediately. They had to see Ethan's true colors.
"Mr. Royston, shall I take you to the hospital?" Sophia asked sweetly.
His face was now grotesquely swollen, mottled with bruises.
He forced a gentlemanly smile. "Yes."
Sophia's heart fluttered.
Despite the humiliating scene, Sebastian's status remained untouchable.
And he was being so gentle with her...
This golden goose—she'd cling to him with everything she had.

Inside The Grand Hyatt, Evelyn finally relaxed her icy expression as she watched the two flee.
"Thank you," Ethan said softly.
Evelyn arched a brow. "For what?"
"For teaching Sebastian a lesson."
"I just couldn't stand him." Evelyn stood. "He deserved it for targeting me."
Without another glance, she walked away.
Ethan rubbed his temples, watching her go.
How could he capture her attention?
He could feel the distance Evelyn kept between them.
If not for their agreement, she'd have left him far behind already.
