Evelyn Laurent twirled the combat knife between her fingers. The blade glinted coldly in the sunlight.

She knew Ethan Sullivan too well.

He clenched his fists, his voice trembling. "What if you hit Mr. Sullivan? Could you bear that responsibility?"

Ethan chuckled softly.

He effortlessly tossed the knife back to Evelyn with fluid grace.

"Mr. Clemenson," Ethan said coolly, "Evelyn and I handle our own affairs. Outsiders need not interfere."
