Chapter 150

Sunlight streamed through the classroom windows. Sophia Lowell lazily lifted her wrist, the pink diamond bracelet from Celestia Designs glinting brilliantly in the light.

"Oh my god! Isn't that the limited edition from Celestia?" Her deskmate gasped, drawing the attention of nearby students.

Sophia blinked with feigned surprise. "Really? My brother just gave it to me casually. I thought it was just an ordinary bracelet."

A chorus of shocked inhales filled the classroom. Everyone knew Celestia Designs was backed by the prestigious Lowell family, with Sebastian Lowell himself as the lead designer.

"Sophia, you don't mean..." someone ventured cautiously.

Sophia pressed a finger to her lips with a mysterious smile. "Shh, it's a secret."

Her ambiguous response instantly changed the atmosphere. Several girls flocked to her side, offering drinks and even straightening her textbooks.

Out of the corner of her eye, Sophia noticed Evelyn Laurent still reading quietly in the corner. Her nails dug into her palms. How dare that bitch ignore her?

"Don't forget your water bottles for PE class this afternoon," the class monitor reminded everyone.

A scheme suddenly formed in Sophia's mind.

After PE, a shrill scream pierced the classroom.

"My bracelet is gone!" Sophia cried, frantically searching her bag with red-rimmed eyes. "It was a birthday gift from my brother!"

Three roommates immediately surrounded her. "It was just here!"

"Could someone have stolen it?" someone whispered.

A bespectacled boy spoke up. "I saw Evelyn leave last when I locked the door."

All eyes turned to Evelyn. She remained seated, not even looking up.

"Evelyn, did you steal it?" One of Sophia's roommates charged forward aggressively.

Evelyn finally lifted her gaze, her expression terrifyingly calm. "Where's your proof?"

"Who else could it be? Give Sophia's bracelet back now!"

The classroom erupted. Some demanded to search bags while others shouted about reporting to the teacher. At the center of the chaos, Sophia allowed herself a barely perceptible smirk.

This time, let's see you wriggle out of this.
