Chapter 346
Beads of sweat formed on Director Timothy Gold's forehead. His fingers tapped nervously against his knee as he stared at Beatrice Quincy's pale face on the monitor. If Beatrice continued filming with Julian Langley's team, this show might end prematurely.
Beatrice's eyelashes fluttered as she prepared to refuse. But Xander Quincy spoke first. "Fine."
"Let Beatrice rest. I'll switch teams."
His gaze remained fixed on Beatrice. The faint red rash visible on her back made his heart clench. His pampered younger sister looked so fragile, as if she might shatter at the slightest touch.
Evelyn Laurent suddenly chuckled, tapping Xander's reddened arm. "Xander, your real sister is injured too."
Bianca Fairchild's head jerked up, pupils dilating in panic. She shook her head frantically at Evelyn, nails digging into her palms. Mentioning her now would only worsen the situation.
Xander stiffened, his eyes shifting to Bianca's inflamed arm. The angry redness made him instinctively rise—until a pained whimper stopped him mid-step.
"Brother...it hurts..." Beatrice curled into herself, tears clinging to her lashes.
Xander immediately turned back, supporting her gently. "Where does it hurt? Should I call a doctor?"
Evelyn watched the scene coldly before yanking Bianca's wrist. "Let's go. We've seen enough."
Beatrice glared at Evelyn's retreating back, teeth grinding. That meddlesome woman kept ruining her plans.
Julian Langley and Ethan Sullivan followed Evelyn without sparing Beatrice a glance. Only the sound of Timothy wiping sweat remained. "Everyone, please be careful! Stop filming immediately if you feel unwell!"
He touched his neck in relief. Thank God it was just an allergy. A real accident would have ended his career on this godforsaken island.
Live stream comments exploded:
[That was terrifying! Thought something serious happened]
[Xander treats his sisters so differently!]
[Bianca deserves it! She must've caused Beatrice's allergy]
[Pretty sure Beatrice faked it. Xander was about to check on Bianca]
[Are you blind? Beatrice was clearly suffering]
In the Quincy mansion, a crystal glass shattered against the TV screen.
"That worthless bastard!" Mrs. Quincy's nails dug into the sofa. "She can't even take care of Beatrice properly!"
Mr. Quincy narrowed his eyes like a predator. "Seems our last lesson wasn't enough." He pulled out his phone. "Tell the hospital to increase the dosage."
On screen, Bianca trailed behind Evelyn with her head down. No one saw the fleeting smirk on her lips.
