Chapter 356
Timothy Gold leaned lazily against the tent with an indifferent smile. "Julian Langley is my brother. You think he'd let anything happen to me?"
His confidence was well-founded.
When Julian first entered the entertainment industry, it was Timothy who recognized his potential. He single-handedly propelled the inexperienced young man onto variety show stages. From obscurity to Oscar-winning actor, every step bore Timothy's influence.
That bond wasn't something Julian would forget.
Later, when Timothy learned Julian was actually the third son of the Langley family, he merely raised an eyebrow. Their friendship had never required status to sustain it.
Did Beatrice Quincy really think she could stir up trouble on this show? She was sorely mistaken.
Outside the tent, Beatrice took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing her fury. Adjusting her expression for the cameras, she turned toward Evelyn Laurent's campsite.
By the shore, the four of them were busy processing freshly gathered vines.
Evelyn suddenly stood up, her fingers weaving swiftly as an intricate basket took shape. She weighted the bottom with stones and gently placed it in the shallows.
"What's this?" Julian asked curiously, moving closer.
"A fish trap." Without looking up, Evelyn began boiling seawater in a cast-iron pot.
Bianca Fairchild's eyes sparkled like stars. "Sister Evelyn, you're amazing!" She trailed after Evelyn like an eager puppy, admiration written all over her face.
Julian and Ethan Sullivan exchanged a glance, their expressions darkening simultaneously.
The vine in Ethan's hands snapped with a sharp crack. His jaw clenched as he watched Bianca cling to Evelyn's side.
If he'd known this would happen, he never would have agreed to switch groups.
