Chapter 198
To Sebastian Royston, Sophia Lowell wasn’t even worth a second glance.
She had been thrown out as bait to lure Evelyn Laurent, but he barely spared her a look.
A dozen thugs surrounded Evelyn, yet she didn’t even flinch.
"Is this all you’ve got?" She scanned the group with a mocking smirk.
Sophia kept her head down, too afraid to speak.
She secretly wished Sebastian had sent more men.
Maybe then Evelyn would be beaten to her knees, begging for mercy!
Surely Ethan Sullivan hadn’t assigned bodyguards to this woman?
There was no way she could take on a dozen burly men alone.
"Be a good girl and surrender. It’ll hurt less."
"Let us show you a good time."
Filthy words spilled from the thugs’ mouths. One even whistled at her.
Their lecherous stares made Evelyn’s stomach churn.
It reminded her of the way street punks used to leer at her.
What had happened to those punks in the end?
They’d started running at the sight of her, terrified of getting another beating.
Back then, they’d all called her Sister Evelyn.
She rolled her wrists, lips curling into a cold smile.
It had been too long since she’d stretched her limbs.
Today was the perfect opportunity.
Without hesitation, she lunged at the one with the most disgusting gaze.
A sharp uppercut cracked against his jaw.
The sickening crunch of bone echoed through the air.
The man flew three meters back before collapsing, unconscious.
Silence fell over the scene.
One punch had taken down a grown man?
Sophia’s legs trembled.
Had Evelyn been holding back when she’d hit them before?
What kind of monster was this woman?
She watched in horror as Evelyn moved through the crowd like a panther.
The thugs might as well have been made of paper.
In under five minutes, bodies littered the ground.
Sebastian stood frozen in shock.
He turned to flee but found his path blocked by three men in black.
Harrison Whitmore leisurely removed his sunglasses.
"Where are you off to, Mr. Royston?"
Two bodyguards seized Sebastian by the arms.
"Harrison! You’ve got a death wish?" He struggled violently.
Harrison scoffed, patting his cheek with a smirk.
"That’s my line."
