Chapter 292

"What kind of man do you like, Evelyn? I know plenty of eligible bachelors who'd be perfect for you!" Julian Langley winked playfully.

"Ethan Sullivan isn't your only option!"

Her six brothers crowded around Evelyn Laurent, each offering enthusiastic matchmaking suggestions.

Tilting her head thoughtfully, Evelyn countered, "But honestly, can anyone in the country compare to Ethan?"

The brothers fell silent.

Damn.

They couldn't refute their sister's logic.

Julian cleared his throat first. "But Ethan's heart belongs to someone else!"

Evelyn blinked her large eyes earnestly. "The person he's been waiting ten years for... is actually me."

Except for Julian and Theodore, the other four brothers gaped in shock.

This revelation hadn't surfaced in their investigations.

Yet seeing their sister's unwavering confidence, understanding dawned on them.

Their gazes snapped toward their parents.

Victoria Langley simply smiled and nodded.

So Mother had known all along!

Julian's mind raced. "Even if it's you, he only knew you as a child. What if it's just gratitude or guilt?"

"That's not real love. Don't let him deceive you!"

Evelyn frowned at her third brother. "I know that. We've remained friends since calling off the engagement."

The brothers exchanged uneasy glances.

They feared their sister was getting too attached.

That Ethan was a master manipulator!

He'd probably come to the Langley estate just to play the victim.

Their jaws clenched in frustration.

They needed to introduce Evelyn to other exceptional men—immediately.

Julian's eyes sparkled with sudden inspiration. "Evelyn, could you do me a favor?"

Leaning closer, he deployed his Oscar-winning charm with a pout. "Would you join me for a family reality show episode? Just like the one Theodore did with me last time."

"Theodore can't make the next recording. Will you be my partner instead?"

Faced with her movie-star brother's puppy-dog eyes and pleading tone, Evelyn's resistance crumbled.

She glanced at Theodore. "You're really unavailable?"

Theodore caught Julian's subtle headshake and sighed. "Yeah, I have intensive training."

Julian turned up the charm. "Please, little sister? It's just a lighthearted show about sibling dynamics with some fun games."

"If you don't come, they'll pair me with a fake sister." His voice softened. "You're my only real sister."

Evelyn's resolve melted. "Alright, I'll do it."

Then hesitation flickered across her face. "But I've never been on camera before. Won't I embarrass you?"

Her brother was a national treasure.

Could an ordinary girl like her really measure up?
