Chapter 327

Julian Langley stood on the beach with his hands in his pockets, a roguish grin playing on his lips. "You're Beatrice and Bianca's actual brother. Of course you should go. Who am I to them?"

He deliberately emphasized the words "actual brother."

Evelyn had secretly tugged his sleeve earlier, signaling him not to go.

The thought of his little sister protecting him made Julian's chest swell with pride. His smug expression was unmistakable.

[LOL Julian's ego is through the roof!]

[Evelyn is so sweet. She totally knows he doesn't want to deal with Beatrice.]

[What's up with the Quincy siblings? Why isn't Xander teamed up with his sisters?]

[The other group is already eating instant noodles. Why aren't they doing tasks to exchange supplies?]

The live chat buzzed with comments.

Xander Quincy's face darkened.

He knew exactly how Beatrice felt about Julian—and how determinedly Julian avoided her.

What frustrated him more was his family's increasing indulgence toward Beatrice, especially when it came to Bianca...

Just thinking about Bianca made his chest tighten.

"No," he said coldly.

Ethan Sullivan shot him a sharp look.

Xander immediately backtracked. "Just kidding. I'll go!"

He grabbed a wooden stick and charged toward the shore like a man fleeing demons.

Julian burst out laughing, slapping his thigh. "Look at you now, Xander!"

[OMG Julian's smug face is everything!]

[Ethan just silenced Xander with one look. Protective husband confirmed!]

[What's Xander's deal? Borrowing a lighter shouldn't be this painful.]

[Something's off about the Quincy siblings.]

The audience quickly picked up on the tension.

Evelyn suddenly spoke up. "Wait."

She deftly skewered four fish. "Take these to trade."

"That many?" Julian protested, wincing at the loss.

Evelyn glanced at the ocean. "Don't worry. There will be more fish."

When her gaze briefly met Ethan's, Julian bristled.

"Watch this, Evie!" He grabbed a stick and charged into the water. "I'll spear a big one for you!"

Evelyn shook her head with a faint smile and continued cleaning the fish.

After gutting them, she stood and dusted off her hands. "I'm going to find some herbs in the woods."
