Chapter 329

"I'm dying! What kind of ship name is 'Ethan-Evelyn'? Does Ethan Sullivan know you're doing this?"

The live stream chat exploded with messages, the engagement skyrocketing.

The five Langley brothers stared at the screen, faces turning green.

Sebastian Langley gritted his teeth. "Don't these netizens have anything better to do?"

Nathaniel Langley silently pulled out his phone. "I'm reporting this stream."

Dominic Langley smirked. "What's your reason? 'Defaming our sister'?"

Victoria Langley laughed so hard she slapped her thigh. "Oh my god, these kids are geniuses! Ethan-Evelyn ship? Hilarious!"

Richard Langley patted his wife's back. "It just means the audience loves their dynamic."

Victoria lifted her chin proudly. "Of course! Our Evelyn is adorable!"

In the woods, Evelyn Laurent bent down to gather wild greens.

Julian Langley followed closely, his eyes darting nervously through the underbrush.

"Julian," Evelyn suddenly turned, "what are you looking for?"

He startled. "N-nothing!"

Evelyn suppressed a smile. "Snakes rarely come out during the day."

Julian immediately straightened. "Who's scared of snakes? I was just... admiring the scenery!"

His foot slipped mid-sentence, nearly sending him tumbling.

Evelyn caught him effortlessly. "Careful."

Julian's ears turned red. "Thanks, Evie..."

As they continued walking, Julian suddenly brightened.

"Evie, look!" He pointed at a cluster of bright red mushrooms under a tree. "Are these edible?"

Evelyn glanced over. "Sure."

Julian eagerly reached out. "Then we can—"

"End up in the ICU immediately after eating them," Evelyn added casually.

Julian froze mid-reach.

Three seconds later, he stomped the mushrooms violently. "Why do poisonous things have to look so pretty? Scammers!"

Evelyn burst out laughing.

She picked some dull grayish mushrooms instead. "These are the edible ones."

Julian peered at them. "Ugly means safe, right?"

"Exactly," Evelyn nodded. "The uglier, the safer."

Julian considered this. "Then I must be extremely safe."

Evelyn: "......"

She silently added the mushrooms to her basket, thinking her brother's logic was truly one-of-a-kind.

Too bad the island lacked proper seasonings—the dish could've been more flavorful.

Julian suddenly leaned in. "Evie, what if we name that snake?"

Evelyn: "???"

His abrupt topic change left her mentally scrambling.
