Chapter 345
Xander Quincy gently patted Beatrice Quincy's back until her sobs gradually subsided.
Bianca Fairchild stood in the corner, her gaze shifting between them. She pressed her lips together, fingers unconsciously twisting the hem of her shirt.
Evelyn Laurent approached silently and suddenly grasped Bianca's wrist.
"Don't move." Evelyn's tone brooked no argument.
She rolled up Bianca's sleeve, revealing reddened skin and several bleeding scratches.
"Ointment." Evelyn extended a hand toward Timothy Gold.
The salve was quickly passed to Ethan Sullivan. Evelyn's movements were gentle as she dabbed the medicine onto the wounds with her fingertips.
"Why didn't you say anything?" She locked eyes with Bianca. "These could scar."
Bianca flinched and withdrew her arm, her voice barely audible. "I... I'm fine."
She kept her head down as if trying to disappear into the floor—a stark contrast to her earlier composed demeanor.
Evelyn frowned, catching Xander's hesitant expression from the corner of her eye.
Beatrice clung to Xander, tearfully glancing at Julian Langley, who remained focused on Evelyn.
The production crew was in chaos.
Timothy wiped sweat from his brow and suggested, "Should we... switch Xander and Bianca's groups?"
Beatrice clearly wasn't in any state to continue filming, and Xander was her only anchor.
As for moving Beatrice to Julian's team? Timothy inwardly shook his head. Everyone knew Julian had been avoiding the young socialite.
