Chapter 359

Evelyn's gaze sharpened as it landed on Ethan's outstretched hand.

Her pupils contracted slightly.

"Your hand..."

Her fingertips lightly brushed the rash-covered skin. The contact burned.

Ethan withdrew his hand casually. "It's nothing. Probably just an allergic reaction."

His tone was calm, but his eyes shot a warning glare at Xander.

Xander's expression darkened instantly. He grabbed Beatrice's arm. "Enough. We're leaving."

"Brother!" Beatrice struggled against his grip, resentment flashing in her eyes.

Evelyn remained focused on examining Ethan's hand, missing the complicated look Xander gave her before departing.

His gaze lingered on Bianca for a brief moment before he turned away.

Inside the tent, Beatrice slammed the flap shut and ripped off her microphone.

"How dare they treat me like this!" Her voice trembled with rage, eyes red-rimmed.

She had always been the Quincy family's treasured jewel. Every whim catered to, every desire fulfilled.

Yet now, even the most obedient Bianca dared defy her.

"Enough." Xander's voice cut through her tantrum. "Stop provoking Evelyn."

"Me? Provoke her?" Beatrice's voice rose shrilly. "She's the one targeting me at every turn!"

Xander clamped a hand over her mouth. "Have you lost your mind?"

He hissed under his breath, "The Laurents back Evelyn. If this escalates, do you think the Quincy family's skeletons can withstand scrutiny?"

Beatrice paled.

"You think your dirty laundry is still secret?" Xander sneered. "That car accident last year alone—"

"Shut up!" Beatrice shoved him away violently. "That was an accident!"

Xander studied his sister with conflicted eyes.

Some truths, once exposed, could never be taken back.
