Chapter 378
Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the living room. Evelyn Laurent was organizing the medical kit with her head bowed.
Ethan Sullivan leaned against the sofa, his long fingers pressing gently against his lower back.
"What's wrong?" Evelyn looked up just in time to catch his slight frown.
Ethan lifted his gaze, warmth shimmering in his eyes. "Just a little sore."
His voice was soft, but it sent a shiver through Evelyn's fingertips.
"Do you want—" Before she could finish, Julian Langley stormed over.
"Ethan Sullivan!" Julian gritted his teeth. "Stop pretending to be pitiful!"
Ethan lowered his lashes, silently massaging his back.
Evelyn sighed and patted the sofa. "Third Brother, come here."
Julian eyed her suspiciously before sitting down. The next second, a pair of delicate hands settled on his shoulders.
"Hiss—" He sucked in a sharp breath.
Evelyn's fingers pressed precisely into his pressure points with just the right amount of force.
"Feel better?" she asked softly.
Julian half-closed his eyes like a contented cat. "You're amazing, Evie!"
He shot Ethan a smug look, only to find the man staring intently at Evelyn's profile.
The live chat exploded:
[Julian's asking for a beating!]
[Ethan's gaze is lethal!]
[Evie's technique is so professional!]
When the massage ended, Julian rolled his shoulders. "When did you learn this, Evie?"
"From Grandpa Liu back in the village." Evelyn's eyes softened slightly.
She suddenly remembered the elders of White Stone Village and made a mental note to visit soon.
"Your turn." She turned to Ethan.
Surprise flickered in Ethan's eyes before he obediently took his seat.
The moment Evelyn's hands touched his shoulders, Julian's eyes widened.
"Wait—Evie, you—"
Ethan's lips curved slightly. Out of the camera's view, his fingers brushed lightly against Evelyn's wrist.
