Chapter 386

Julian Langley rushed forward eagerly and grabbed the rope.

"Hey—"

With a sudden burst of strength, his face flushed crimson.

The rope pulled taut, but the four trees didn't budge an inch.

Gritting his teeth, veins bulging on his forehead, he barely managed to drag them a short distance.

"Huff..." Julian released the rope, bracing his hands on his knees as he panted. "Evelyn, you..."

His gaze lifted to Evelyn Laurent, filled with astonishment.

Where did this girl get such inhuman strength?

Evelyn pressed her lips together in a faint smile.

She had always been unusually strong since childhood.

Add to that three years of training under that mysterious Tai Chi master in the park.

The old man often called her a once-in-a-century martial arts prodigy.

Turns out he wasn't lying.

Bianca Fairchild stood nearby, eyes wide as saucers.

The three young men exchanged glances before silently picking up the rope again.

No way were they letting a girl do such heavy labor.

Back at the campsite, Julian wiped his sweat. "Evelyn, what do you need these logs for?"

"Building a house, of course." She said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Grabbing an axe, she swung it down effortlessly.

The thick tree trunks split into perfectly even planks under her hands, as if she were slicing tofu.

Four main beams were ready in no time.

The production crew held their breath.

Evelyn planted her feet firmly and wrapped her arms around a wooden pillar.

"Ha!"

With a sharp cry, the pillar sank half its length into the ground.

Silence fell over the entire site.

Julian and Ethan Sullivan swallowed hard in unison.

But Bianca clapped excitedly. "Evelyn, you're amazing!"

The live chat exploded:

[What did I just witness?!]

[Driving pillars barehanded? Is this even possible?]

[Is Evelyn some hidden martial arts master?]

[That arm strength—I bow down.]

[Someone check if the ground's made of tofu.]

Unfazed, Evelyn repeated the process.

Three more pillars stood firmly rooted.

Dusting wood chips off her hands, she nodded in satisfaction.

"Done."
