Chapter 400
The yacht transfer procedures were incredibly tedious.
If he really wanted to donate money, why go through such a roundabout way?
A smile spread across Ethan Sullivan's eyes as he readily agreed, "If you like it, Third Brother, it's yours."
He didn't even bat an eyelid.
Julian Langley was taken aback.
Was this guy really willing to give away a multimillion-dollar yacht just to pursue Evelyn?
There had to be an ulterior motive!
Julian scoffed coldly, "If you're giving me the yacht, what will you use to impress Evelyn? Since you're so generous, Mr. Sullivan, why not throw in a couple of helicopters too?"
Helicopters weren't just something you could buy with money—they were rare luxuries.
Ethan nodded calmly. "No problem."
He smiled at Julian. "What model do you prefer, Third Brother? I'll accompany you to pick them out later."
"Deal!"
Julian blurted out before immediately pressing his lips together in frustration.
He'd agreed too quickly—it made him seem desperate.
Timothy Gold and Eugene York exchanged uneasy glances.
Could these two at least consider their feelings?
"Um..." Timothy raised a hesitant hand. "Mr. Langley, Mr. Sullivan, maybe you two should discuss this later? I'm starting to feel a little faint."
If he had to listen any longer, he might actually pass out.
Evelyn Laurent offered an apologetic smile. "Sorry for disturbing your rest."
She turned and walked out.
Now that the island ownership was confirmed, she felt much lighter.
Ethan quickly followed. "Evelyn, the yacht is yours too. And I'll add two helicopters. How does that sound?"
Evelyn stopped abruptly.
She frowned at him. "Why are you giving me such expensive gifts?"
Without waiting for his answer, she cut straight to the point. "Do you have feelings for me?"
Julian stiffened instantly.
His eyes darted between them nervously, but he chose to stay silent.
Ethan gazed deeply at Evelyn.
After a long pause, he chuckled softly. "Haven't I made it obvious enough?"
He was willing to give everything he had just to see her smile.
Evelyn pressed further. "Do you like me as I am now, or the Evelyn from back then?"
Ethan's eyes burned with intensity.
"I've figured it out."
"The one I've always loved is Evelyn Laurent."
His obsession from the past had been nothing but guilt and gratitude.
If he'd truly cared, why had he felt nothing but disgust when Sophia Lowell appeared?
