Chapter 422
The pirates grinned maliciously as they knocked the production crew to the ground. Only Julian Langley and Hugo Rothschild remained standing back-to-back, barely holding their ground.
Blood splattered across the cruise ship's cockpit windows.
The pirate leader puffed on a cigar, smugly dispatching half his men to chase Ethan Sullivan.
Only five guards remained on deck.
Hidden in the shadows, Evelyn Laurent narrowed her eyes.
She moved like a panther poised to strike, silent and lethal in the darkness.
The baseball bat sliced through the air.
The first pirate crumpled with a grunt.
The second barely turned before a kick shattered his kneecap.
The third didn't even reach for his gun.
In under three minutes, the deck fell silent again.
Evelyn shook out her tingling wrist and vaulted over the railing.
She hauled Rachel and Leo Clemenson onto the deck like stray kittens.
"Set sail!"
Without looking back, she sprinted toward the jungle.
Julian lunged for the railing, eyes wild, but Timothy Gold gripped his shoulder like a vise.
"You'll get her killed!"
The cruise ship's engines roared to life.
The trussed-up pirates stared in horror.
Crystal Rothschild suddenly screamed, "Where's my brother?"
Ripples spread across the water.
Hugo was swimming desperately toward shore.
Timothy slammed his fist against the bulkhead. "That lunatic!"
Deep in the jungle,
Hugo wiped seawater from his face.
His fingers tightened around the combat knife stolen from a pirate.
This time, he wouldn't let her face danger alone.
